Áster Finca El Otero - Red Wine

Áster Finca El Otero - Red Wine is a characterful red wine from the Ribera del Duero region, produced by Áster exclusively from the Tempranillo grape variety. It originates from the Finca El Otero plot, a 4-hectare vineyard located in Anguix, Burgos, planted in 1961, which faithfully expresses the identity of this unique terroir. It is one of the winery's highest-end wines, combining power, balance, and a remarkable aptitude for aging in the bottle, without losing any pleasure in tasting it immediately.

It presents a deep ruby color with a garnet rim and a clear appearance. The aroma reveals great intensity, with notes of redcurrant, black cherry, and stewed plum, enveloped by hints of white pepper, licorice, and fennel, as well as suggestions of pastry, ground coffee, and cedar. On the palate, it shows ample freshness, thanks to the balance between acidity and volume, elegant tannins, and a simultaneously powerful and pleasant finish. The finish is long, highlighting spices, cedar, black fruit, and notes of forest floor.

It is recommended to serve it between 16 and 17 ºC. It is an excellent choice to accompany red meats, roast lamb and well-aged cheeses.
