Description | El Sequé - Red Wine
El Sequé - Red Wine is a red wine from Alicante made exclusively from the Monastrell grape variety, from old vines in El Sequé. It presents a profile of great Mediterranean character, combining ripeness, intensity and an engaging wine expression. In the winery, it is vinified in stainless steel tanks, with cold maceration and fermentation for 10 to 12 days. Subsequently, it undergoes malolactic fermentation in barrels and ages for 12 months in 500-liter French oak barrels.
In the glass, it reveals a medium-high intensity cherry-red color, with a clean and very bright appearance. The aroma highlights red and ripe fruit, accompanied by toasted and spicy notes from barrel aging. On the palate, it is powerful, full-bodied and flavorful, with ripe tannins and an unctuous texture. The finish is persistent, marked by a very pleasant, slight bitterness that adds balance and personality to the whole.
This wine is best served between 14 and 16 ºC, ideal to accompany lightly aged cheeses, red meats, stews and truffle rice dishes. A 100% Monastrell of superior category, designed for those seeking an intense, balsamic and mature red wine, with a strong sense of authenticity and identity.
