Description | Enrique Mendoza Finca Xaconero - Red Wine
Enrique Mendoza Finca Xaconero - Red Wine is a red wine from Alicante produced by Bodegas Enrique Mendoza from Monastrell grapes. The grapes come from vines trained in goblets located on the slopes of the “Cabezo de la Virgen” in Villena, on an estate whose cultivation tradition dates back to the 16th century. This wine is born from sustainable viticulture and seeks to faithfully express the mountain landscape, the climate, and the fresh character of the Mediterranean.
In the glass, it presents a ruby-red color with garnet reflections and good intensity. On the nose, it reveals a fresh and expressive profile, with notes of red fruits and hints of Mediterranean undergrowth, such as rockrose, lavender, and rosemary. The aromatic complexity extends with spicy notes, toasted bread, and coffee, creating a balanced and captivating whole.
On the palate, it stands out for its freshness and harmony, with sweet and soft tannins that contribute to a very pleasant tasting experience. The finish is of medium persistence, allowing notes of red fruit and spices to return. It is recommended to serve it between 14 and 16 ºC. At the table, it pairs well with sausages, rice dishes, stewed turkey, grilled pork, and goat cheese.
