Description | Cepa Gavilan Crianza - Red Wine
Cepa Gavilan Crianza - Red Wine is a red wine from Viña Pedrosa, in the Ribera del Duero region, made from Tempranillo grapes. Being a crianza, it is the youngest red wine from the Pérez Pascuas brothers' winery, revealing the strength and freshness of Tinto Fino, the local name for the grape variety. Originating from young vines, aged between 10 and 15 years, it ages for 12 months, gaining opulence, concentration, and a fruity and flavorful profile. It is a wine with a strong personality and an excellent quality-price ratio.
On the palate, it displays an intense deep red color with violet nuances, great depth, and brilliance. The aroma is exuberant, highlighting ripe black fruit such as blackberry and blueberry, on a mineral, balsamic, and spicy background. On the palate, it reveals an enveloping texture, delicacy, and ripe tannins. The finish is intense and persistent, with fruity notes, hints of vanilla, and suggestions of pastry.
It should be served between 16 and 18 ºC. It pairs very well with roasted and stewed meats, making it a safe choice for those seeking an expressive, balanced, and characterful Ribera del Duero.
