Quinta da Mimosa - Red Wine

Quinta da Mimosa - Red Wine is a single-varietal Castelão wine from the Setúbal Peninsula, produced by Casa Ermelinda Freitas. After fermentation in stainless steel tanks with temperature control and prolonged maceration, it ages for 12 months in French oak barrels, a process that contributes to its structure and complexity. In the glass, it reveals a concentrated garnet color and an aromatic profile marked by ripe red fruits and notes of preserved fruit, in harmony with hints of vanilla from the wood.

On the palate, it reveals itself to be rich in high-quality tannins, with body and depth, maintaining a balance between fruit, structure, and the influence of barrel aging. The result is an engaging and expressive red wine, with a persistent and very long finish, reflecting the character of Castelão and the wine identity of the Setúbal Peninsula.
