Description | Moscatel Emilin - Fortified Wine
Moscatel Emilin - Fortified Wine, from Lustau, is a sweet wine from the Jerez region, made exclusively from the Moscatel de Alejandría grape variety. Produced with grapes from the Las Cruces vineyards in Chipiona, it ages for 8 years in the cellars of Jerez de la Frontera, reaching 17% alcohol content. The result is a fortified wine with an intense and deeply aromatic profile, designed for moments of pleasure at the table, especially at the end of a meal.
It presents a very dark mahogany color with an iodized rim, immediately revealing its concentration and evolution. On the nose, floral and citrus aromas stand out, very expressive and seductive. On the palate, notes of dried fruit and spices emerge, in a broad, full-bodied ensemble with a very long finish. The sweetness is pronounced, but balanced by a pleasant acidity, which gives it freshness and avoids any excessive sensation of heaviness.
It should be served between 10 and 12 ºC. It is an excellent option to accompany desserts, especially puff pastries, biscuits or cookies, fruit and yogurt. Due to its rich aroma and enveloping texture, it is also a very appealing choice for those who appreciate sweet wines of great intensity and persistence.
