Description | Imperial Reserva Magnum - Red Wine
Imperial Reserva Magnum - Red Wine is one of CVNE's great wines and a true icon of Rioja, originating in the 1920s. Produced in the Rioja Alta sub-region, it is born from a careful selection of the estate's best grapes, predominantly Tempranillo, complemented by Graciano, Mazuelo, and Garnacha. The result is a classic and elegant red wine, designed to express the identity of one of Spain's most renowned wine regions.
In the glass, it presents an intense, deep cherry-pink color. The aroma reveals a harmonious and appealing ensemble, highlighting the fruity notes from the different grape varieties, well integrated with hints from its aging in wood. On the palate, it is round and enveloping, with an unctuous texture, pronounced yet silky tannins, and a long, very pleasant finish that prolongs the tasting experience with balance and distinction.
Its personality also results from a prolonged aging process: two years in French and American oak barrels, followed by another two years of bottle aging. This process gives it complexity, elegance and a docile tannin, characteristics that help explain the benchmark status achieved by this wine. It is recommended to serve it at 18ºC, and it is an excellent accompaniment to red meats, game, oily fish and aged cheeses.
