Description | Imperial Gran Reserva Magnum - Red Wine
Imperial Gran Reserva Magnum - Red Wine is one of the great classics of Rioja and an emblematic wine of CVNE, originating in the 1920s. Produced only in exceptional vintages in Rioja Alta, it is born from a selection of the best vineyards of the house, with Tempranillo, Graciano and Mazuelo grapes. Designed to evolve remarkably over time, it establishes itself as a red wine of great prestige, depth and elegance.
In the glass, it presents a burgundy red color with cherry hues on the rim and great intensity. The aromatic profile reveals a complex range of primary and tertiary aromas, with hints of forest fruits, licorice, and spices. On the palate, it shows a smooth entry, followed by an elegant journey, polished tannins, and a long finish, marked by balsamic notes that reinforce its sophistication.
Its identity is also defined by a prolonged aging process: at least 24 months in new French and American oak barrels, followed by a minimum of 36 months in the bottle before reaching the market. The result is a complex, harmonious wine, prepared for aging. It is recommended to serve it at 18ºC. It is an excellent accompaniment to red meats, game, oily fish, and aged cheeses.
