Contino Garnacha - Red Wine

Contino Garnacha - Red Wine is a single-varietal Garnacha wine from Rioja Alavesa, clearly demonstrating the potential of this grape variety in a region where it has a minority presence. Produced by Contino, it presents itself as a red wine of great elegance and strong varietal identity, designed to highlight the purity of the fruit and the finesse of the Garnacha.

In the glass, it reveals a medium-intensity ruby-red color. The aroma is frank, intense, and very expressive, with floral notes of rose, red fruit such as strawberry and cherry, and a delicate spicy touch of black pepper. On the palate, it is elegant, flavorful, and very lively, supported by excellent acidity, silky tannins, and a long finish with good aromatic persistence.

The grapes are harvested by hand and fermented in French oak vats. The wine ages for 10 months in French oak, followed by a further 5 months in concrete tanks, where it completes its aging process. The result is a fragrant, harmonious and captivating red wine. It should be served between 16 and 18 ºC. It pairs well with sausages, red meats, pork loin and semi-cured cheeses.
