Vinha Centenária - White Wine

Vinha Centenária - White Wine is a unique wine from Azores Wine Company, produced in the Azores region from a vineyard over 100 years old. This blend is mainly based on the Arinto dos Açores grape variety, complemented by Verdelho, Alicante Branco and Boal, reflecting the Atlantic identity and unique viticultural heritage of the archipelago.

Winemaking begins with manual harvesting and careful selection of the grapes, followed by direct pressing and cold settling for 12 hours. The first pressings ferment horizontally in stainless steel tanks, while the second pressings ferment in used French oak barrels, where the wine ages for 9 months without bâtonnage. This process contributes to a profile of great precision, depth and texture, while preserving the purity of the fruit and the expression of the terroir.

Due to its maritime origin and gastronomic profile, it is an excellent choice to accompany shellfish, intensely flavored fish, and dishes with a strong iodine component. Its density and concentration also allow for a happy pairing with more succulent white meats, such as suckling pig or pork belly.
