Taylors Vintage 2016 - Port Wine

Taylor's Vintage 2016 - Port Wine is a Vintage from the Porto and Douro region that expresses the classic Taylor's style, marked by depth, elegance and great precision. The climatic conditions of the year contributed to a wine of strong personality: an unusually wet spring reduced yields, but allowed the replenishment of water reserves in the soil, creating the basis for balanced ripening during the hot summer that followed.

In the glass, it presents a deep purple-black color with a narrow magenta halo. The aroma reveals intense and pure notes of wild berries, accompanied by hints of green apple, fresh plum, and raspberry, in a vibrant and very defined ensemble. On the palate, it combines structure and energy, with vigorous and linear tannins that give firmness to the mid-palate, while the lively acidity reinforces the sensation of freshness and prolongs the fruit flavors in the long finish. It is a Vintage Port with a refined and muscular profile, suitable to accompany nuts, blue cheeses and other intensely flavored cheeses, as well as dried apricots or figs.
