Quinta do Monte Xisto - Red Wine

Quinta do Monte Xisto - Red Wine is a wine from the Porto and Douro region, made from the Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Sousão grape varieties. This blend reflects the Douro identity through an intense and balanced profile, combining concentration, freshness and elegance.

According to available information, the grapes are harvested manually and vinification takes place in lagares (traditional stone troughs) with foot treading. Fermentation lasts for about six days, using indigenous yeasts, followed by eighteen months of aging in 600-liter barrels. This cellar work contributes to the depth and texture of the wine, while respecting the expression of the fruit and the terroir.

In the glass, it reveals chromatic intensity and an aromatic profile marked by notes of grape, cherry, rosemary, rockrose, and forest floor. On the palate, it presents volume, structure, and a full, soft, and silky texture, providing an enveloping and persistent tasting experience.
