Quinta do Crasto Vintage 2010 - Port Wine

Quinta do Crasto Vintage 2010 - Port Wine is a Vintage Port from the Porto and Douro region, made from old vines, with randomly and diversely planted grape varieties. The grapes were transported in food-grade plastic crates and subjected to rigorous sorting upon arrival at the winery. After gentle crushing without destemming, they were taken to the traditional stone lagar, where they were foot-trodden at regular intervals. Fermentation was then interrupted by the addition of grape brandy, following the classic method of Port wine production.

In the glass, it presents an opaque color and a vibrant aromatic profile, marked by Douro fruits such as wild blackberries, figs, and blueberries, in harmony with fresh notes of rockrose. On the palate, it reveals itself as fresh and elegant at the beginning, evolving with great balance to a compact and deep structure. It shows excellent volume, very present but smooth tannins, and finishes with an expressive aromatic explosion of wild berries. Complex, persistent, and fresh, it is a wine with a profile of great character and remarkable aging potential.
