Monopole Clasico Reserva - White Wine

Monopole Clasico Reserva - White Wine, from CVNE, is a white wine from Rioja made from the Viura grape variety. It is a wine with a strong historical identity: Monopole is the oldest white wine brand in Spain and returned in 2014, now as Monopole Clásico, to mark its centenary. Its distinctive profile stems from a small incorporation of Manzanilla grapes made using the traditional method, which gives it complexity and a very unique character.

In the glass, it presents a straw-yellow color with golden hues. The aroma highlights notes of dried fruit and spices, accompanied by a slight touch of pear, apple, white currant, and white flowers. The fermentation and evolution of the wine, combined with manual harvesting and 8 months of organic aging in used barrels, contribute to aromas of chamomile and dried fruit, reinforcing its elegance and depth.

On the palate, it surprises with its smooth entry, notes of salinity, and an elegant acidity that lingers. The retronasal aroma reveals flowers and dried fruit, leaving a fresh and persistent finish. It should be served between 9 and 12 ºC. It is a versatile wine at the table, ideal to accompany salads, fish, rice dishes, meats, and sausages.
