José Pariente 25 Años Barrica - White Wine

José Pariente 25 Años Barrica - White Wine, from Bodegas José Pariente, is a unique wine from Rueda that expresses the extraordinary aging potential of the Verdejo grape variety. Produced using traditional methods, it originates from grapes from a single vineyard planted in 1943 in the El Portugués páramo, in Rueda. The harvest took place in 1997, with manual selection of the bunches and traditional transport in baskets. After spontaneous fermentation in oak barrels, the wine remained in these same barrels for 25 years, slowly evolving in complexity, structure, and elegance.

In the glass, it presents a bright and intense amber color. On the nose, it reveals itself as elegant, complex, and rich in nuances, with notes of dried fruit, hydrocarbons, spices, mineral and smoky hints. On the palate, it shows body, a marked glyceric center, good acidity, and a saline and flavorful profile, finishing with great persistence. It is recommended to serve it between 12 and 14 ºC. It pairs very well with red meats and game, consommés, stews, mushrooms, and aged cheeses.
