Gran Reserva 890 - Red Wine

Gran Reserva 890 - Red Wine, from Rioja Alta, is one of the most emblematic wines of Rioja Alta. Produced only in exceptional vintages, it represents the most classic and exclusive expression of the house, from a rigorous selection of Tempranillo, Mazuelo and Graciano grapes. The 2005 vintage, considered excellent by the winery, received the "Selección Especial" mention, a rare distinction in the history of this wine, and also stood out by being named the 4th Best Wine in the World 2019 by Wine Spectator.

It has a ruby-red color with a slight brick-red rim. On the nose, it reveals great intensity and complexity, with notes of cured leather, plum compote, raisins, tobacco, sweet spices, vanilla, and dark chocolate. On the palate, it is elegant, mature, and profound, with a striking structure, balanced acidity, silky tannins, and the classic Rioja bouquet that defines the region's great wines.

It should be served at 17°C. It is an excellent choice to accompany main courses with light sauces, aromatic meat stews, and chocolate desserts.
