Dominio de Calogia Cuvée S - Red Wine

Dominio de Calogia Cuvée S - Red Wine is a very limited-production red wine from Dominio de Calogía, in Ribera del Duero, made from the Tempranillo grape variety. This wine is born from the personal project of winemaker José Manuel Pérez Ovejas and stands as an expression of excellence and authenticity, with only 2,500 bottles produced.

In the glass, it presents a deep, dark cherry color with a slight ruby sheen and good intensity. The aroma is profound, elegant, complex, and intense, with notes of dried fruit, graphite, and charcoal enveloping the red fruit. The 26 months of aging in French oak barrels contributes to its finesse, subtlety, and complexity.

On the palate, it is structured and round, with excellent acidity and noble, silky, and delicate tannins. It is a vibrant, smooth, and velvety wine, with a persistent finish and a particularly captivating retronasal sensation. It should be served between 16 and 17 ºC and pairs very well with red meats, game dishes, roasts, stews, and also wild fish. It was awarded 97 points in the Guía SEVI 2023.
