Description | Alambre Moscatel de Setúbal - Fortified Wine
Alambre Moscatel de Setúbal - Fortified Wine is a generous wine from the Setúbal Peninsula, produced by José Maria da Fonseca from the Moscatel Graúdo grape variety. With a long connection to the classic style of the region, it presents the typical aromatic profile of this variety, combining fruity expression and enveloping sweetness.
In the glass, it reveals a light golden color with subtle reddish reflections. The aroma highlights notes of candied orange peel, apricot, and a delicate touch of honey, creating a rich and inviting whole. On the palate, it is full of fruit, with a soft texture and a complete, harmonious, and smooth taste.
The winemaking process involves stopping fermentation with the addition of brandy, followed by a period of skin contact of approximately three months. Aging takes place in used oak barrels, contributing to the wine's complexity. Thanks to its natural oxidation process, it does not require further aging in the bottle.
It can be served as an aperitif, at around 10ºC, or as a dessert, at around 16ºC. It is a versatile choice for those who appreciate fortified wines with an intense aromatic profile and traditional character.
